I began buying shampoo bars as a way to decrease the amount of plastic I was buying from the store and forcing back into the trash or recycling eco-systems. Simply put, if I didn’t use it, it would not become trash.
I started buying the bars at my local health food store and soon began finding and purchasing the bars from local artisans at farmer’s markets and craft shows. Fast forward to late 2018 and I created my initial batches of hand-crafted soap, so it was only natural to create my own shampoo bars as well. On this page, you will find the original story and rationale of my switch to bars and creation stories of my own brand.
I think shampoo bars are the way to go. They are completely natural and do not require any packaging or use of non-renewable resources. In fact, the leftover bits of bars are turned into liquid soap to use around my house.
