The Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Nashville in NFL Week 4 to visit the Titans. My son and I made the trip from Cincinnati, grabbed some tickets and headed to the stadium to watch the game. We only had a little time to explore downtown Nashville. If you are looking for live music, people watching and an active bar scene, this is a place to come and check out.
Nissan Stadium is a beautiful, open-air venue with a capacity approaching 70,000 people. It sits just across the Cumberland River from downtown Nashville and features two jumbotrons behind each end zone and plenty of seating amongst 3 levels along each sideline.
Our trip was on September 30th and the temperature was in the high 80s and sunny. It was really hot. Before getting seats, I would find out the expected elements. On a hot, sunny day, I would recommend getting seats in the back rows of the first two levels toward the back of the section in the west section. These seats are partially covered and could provide relief from sun or rain.
The game was entertaining to watch as it went back and forth all of the way into overtime with the Titans winning the game in dramatic fashion with a touchdown as time expired in overtime. It was a tremendously fun environment as the fans poked fun at each other in a good-hearted manner (that I saw) throughout the contest. Good venue for home and visiting fans.
